A dirty and sticky Detector Cap Assy. PN. 594741 can also lead to “Elevator Time out Error” in the LS6500. In most cases, replacing the Diaphragm Assy., or the Detector Cap Assembly will resolve this problem. However, before replacing these parts, firstly check for other obvious issues like making sure the racks are properly placed and not the cause for this failure. Also check to make sure the Diaphragm Assy. PN. 606646 is opening and closing smoothly, and that the Detector Cap Assy. PN. 594741, which has the telescope assembly is moving up and down smoothly.
